Behaviour Coaching

Support for dogs experiencing fear, reactivity, aggression, or other behaviour concerns. Together we'll work to understand your dog's behaviour, create a realistic plan, and help both of you move forward with confidence.

What is Behaviour coaching?

Behaviour Coaching is designed for dogs experiencing more complex behaviour concerns that can make everyday life feel stressful or overwhelming.

Whether your dog struggles with reactivity, fear, aggression, resource guarding, or other behaviour challenges, we'll work together to understand what's driving those behaviours before creating a personalized coaching plan.

My goal isn't simply to change your dog's behaviour, it's to help you understand your dog, build practical skills, and give both of you the confidence to navigate everyday life more successfully.

Is Behaviour coaching right for you?

Behaviour Coaching May Be Right If...

  • Walks have become stressful.

  • Your dog reacts to people or other dogs.

  • Visitors are difficult.

  • Your dog guards food or toys.

  • Your dog is not comfortable being touched or handled at the vet.

  • Your dog fights through the fence with neighbour dogs

  • You aren’t sure why your dog does what they do

1. Complete Your Intake Forms

Every Behaviour Coaching journey begins with a detailed intake form. This gives me the opportunity to learn about your dog's history, daily routine, medical background, and the behaviour concerns you'd like to address before we meet.

2. Book Your Behaviour Assessment & Consultation To Begin

Once you have filled out your Intake forms, I will then reach out to book your 90 minute Behaviour Assessment & Consultation.

At our Behaviour Assessment & Consultation together, we'll discuss your goals, observe your dog's behaviour, identify contributing factors, and begin creating a personalized coaching and management plan.

3. Coaching In The Right
Environment

Your Initial Behaviour Assessment & Consultation takes place in your home, where we'll observe your dog's behaviour in their everyday environment, discuss your goals, and develop a personalized coaching plan.

Follow-up coaching sessions may continue in your home or move to other locations where your dog naturally experiences challenges, such as your neighbourhood, local parks, or other public spaces. Working in real-life environments allows us to build practical skills where they matter most.

4. Continued Care & Support

Your Initial Behaviour Assessment & Consultation is designed to give us the time to fully understand your dog's behaviour, discuss your goals, and identify the factors contributing to the challenges you're experiencing.

Before the end of your first session, you'll leave with a personalized coaching plan, practical management strategies to begin implementing right away, and a small number of starter exercises designed to help you and your dog experience early success.

From there, 60-minute follow-up coaching sessions focus on building skills, refining your training plan, and gradually working through more challenging situations at a pace that feels realistic for both you and your dog.

After each session, you'll receive personalized homework and clear next steps to continue making progress between appointments.

For many clients, the goal isn't simply changing behaviour, it's reaching a point where everyday life with our dog feels enjoyable again. As your dog's confidence grows, we'll continue building practical skills while working toward the day you both feel ready to enjoy walks, classes, and community activities together.
